Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

A student who cannot use the portal cannot use the course. We treat accessibility as part of whether the product works, not as a compliance chore.

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, across this website and the study portal, consistent with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

2. Current status

Conformance claim: substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, as at the date at the top of this page, with the known exceptions in section 4.

"Substantially conformant" is the honest description. It means every page meets the standard on everything we have been able to test, and we are not claiming a perfect result we have not independently verified.

3. What we have done

• Color contrast. Every piece of text on the site was measured against the background actually rendered behind it — including gradients and decorative overlays — and adjusted until it met the 4.5:1 ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text. The site currently returns zero contrast failures on all pages at both desktop and phone widths.
• Keyboard. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and every focused element shows a visible focus ring.
• Color is never the only signal. Links inside running text are underlined, not just colored. Correct and incorrect answers in the portal are marked with an icon and text as well as a color.
• Motion. All animation respects the operating system's "reduce motion" setting. With it on, content appears immediately and nothing moves.
• Without JavaScript. Every page renders its full content with JavaScript disabled or blocked.
• Structure. Pages use real headings in order, real landmarks, and real lists and tables, so a screen reader can navigate them.
• Images and figures. Meaningful images carry alternative text. Decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology. Charts carry a text description of what they show.
• Mathematics. Formulas in the course are rendered with KaTeX, which exposes the underlying expression to assistive technology rather than shipping a picture of an equation.
• Small screens. Every page works at 320 px wide without horizontal scrolling, and text reflows rather than shrinking.
• Forms. Every field has a programmatically associated label, and errors are announced in text rather than signalled by color alone.

4. Known gaps

We would rather publish these than let you discover them.

• No independent audit yet. Our testing is automated tooling plus manual keyboard and screen-reader checks by our own team. We have not yet commissioned an independent accessibility audit or testing by users of assistive technology. We intend to.
• Some interactive figures. A small number of geometry and graphing tools in the course are visual by nature. Each has a text alternative describing the same information, but the interaction itself is not fully equivalent. Tell us and we will work through the material with the student directly.
• Third-party components. The study portal, video conferencing and payment pages include components we do not control. We have chosen vendors who publish accessibility conformance reports, but we cannot warrant their output.
• Live sessions. We do not currently provide live captioning as standard. We will arrange captioning, a transcript, or an interpreter for any student who needs one — at our cost, not yours. Ask at enrollment or at any point afterwards.

5. Accommodations for students

Tell us what a student needs and we will arrange it. That includes extended time on our own practice examinations, large-print or high-contrast materials, captioning or transcripts for live sessions, alternative formats for a worksheet, and adjustments to pacing.

We do not charge for accommodations and we do not require documentation to make an adjustment on our own materials. Applying for accommodations on the actual SAT, PSAT or ACT is a separate process run by the College Board or ACT, with its own documentation requirements and deadlines — we will help you prepare that application, but we cannot grant it.

6. Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site, the portal or the course is not usable for you, email admin@tejastestprep.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. If email is not an accessible route for you, say so in any way you can reach us and we will arrange another — including a call back at a number you give us.

Tell us what you were trying to do, where, and what happened. What browser and assistive technology you use helps but is not required.

What we commit to:

• We acknowledge within 2 business days.
• We give you the information or function another way within 5 business days — by email, by phone, or in a session — so you are not waiting on a fix to get what you needed.
• We tell you our plan and a target date for the fix itself within 10 business days, and we follow up when it ships.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, say so and Dr. Karnati will respond personally.

7. Standards and how we test

• Standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA (W3C Recommendation).
• Legal frame: Americans with Disabilities Act, Title III.
• Automated testing: axe-core, run against every page at desktop and phone widths as part of our release process.
• Contrast testing: a pixel-level check that samples the rendered background beneath every line of text, so gradients and overlays cannot hide a failure that a rules-based check would miss.
• Manual testing: keyboard-only traversal of every page, screen-reader spot checks, zoom to 200%, and rendering with JavaScript disabled.
• Frequency: the automated and contrast suites run before every change to the site goes live. Manual review happens at least quarterly and whenever we add a new page or tool.

8. Review

This statement is reviewed at least annually and whenever we make a substantial change to the site or the portal. The date at the top reflects the last review.
