The numbers behind the program — and the voices behind the numbers.

More than 2,000 students taught. A perfect ACT and a perfect SAT in the founder's own record. A 12+ year teaching career condensed into one curriculum. The standard we hold ourselves to begins with that record — and the targets below show exactly what we're building toward for every cohort.

By the data

The outcomes the program is built to target.

Tejas Test Prep is a new academy, so the charts below are not yet a record of our own cohorts. They are the outcome targets the program is engineered around — calibrated to results typical of top-tier preparation and to Dr. Karnati's track record across 2,000+ students. We will replace these with our own verified cohort data as it accrues.

Average SAT score growth, by starting bracket

The score growth the program is designed to target over a full 16-week cohort, grouped by baseline score range.

Points gained
1100–1199 +210 1200–1299 +200 1300–1399 +180 1400–1499 +130 1500+ +60 +0 +50 +100 +150 +200

Growth is designed to be most pronounced for students starting between 1100 and 1399. Students entering with already-high baselines have less absolute room to gain but aim for the most competitive admissions brackets.

Outcomes by design

What this program is engineered to produce.

These are the outcome categories we build cohorts around. Specific student score outcomes will populate this page as our cohorts complete their cycles.

1500+ Digital SAT

The score range that meaningfully reshapes admissions outcomes at the most selective schools. Engineered through 30 full-length exams and 10,000+ practice questions calibrated to that bracket.

34+ ACT

The bracket where merit scholarships, honors program admissions, and elite-school competitiveness meaningfully open up. Pacing and pattern recognition are the unlocks.

National Merit qualification

11th-grade PSAT/NMSQT outcomes — Commended, Semifinalist, Finalist — built into the SAT & PSAT cohort by design, not as a separate prep cycle.

+150–250 SAT growth

The score growth band most achievable for a student who completes the full 16-week program with consistent practice and proctored exam discipline.

+3–5 ACT composite growth

Most ACT growth comes from pacing, not new content. The 30 full-length exam cadence builds the muscle memory that shifts composite scores in this band.

Selective & Ivy admissions

Standardized test performance is a single component — but it is a gating one. Strong scores remove a barrier that GPA alone cannot.

From students & parents

What families have said.

These are the words of real students and parents — families Dr. Karnati taught in Michigan, and the Dallas–Fort Worth families who took the 2025 trial course. Each quote is published as it was written to us. Attribution is by role and city at the writer’s choice; we have not attached names to private feedback about a child’s schoolwork. No score is claimed in any of them, because we publish a number only when we have seen the official report it came from.

Before Tejas Test Prep, studying for the ACT had become a source of tension in our house because our son was working hard without knowing whether he was studying the right things. The learning and testing platforms gave him structure, and Tejas and his team helped him understand what to focus on. Over time, we saw him become more independent and less discouraged after a difficult practice test. We’re especially thankful that Tejas stayed involved throughout, because our son felt that someone understood his struggles and cared about helping him through them. Seeing him approach the test with more confidence was a huge relief for all of us.

I used to finish a practice test and feel like the score was just telling me I wasn’t good enough. Tejas and his team helped me look at it differently and figure out what I could actually improve. Being able to return to lessons on the platform and then practice again gave me a way to see that the work was helping. I’m really thankful for their patience, especially when I needed something explained more than once. I left the course feeling much more capable than when I started.

Our daughter puts a lot of pressure on herself, and test prep had started to wear her down. Having the lessons and practice tests available through the platforms made studying easier to organize, but the encouragement from Tejas and his team meant just as much. They helped her work through mistakes without turning every difficult question into a reason to doubt herself. We’re grateful for the time they took with her and for how involved Tejas remained. Hearing her say, “I know what I need to work on,” instead of “I can’t do this,” meant a great deal to us.

With school and everything else going on, I honestly didn’t know how I was going to fit in useful test prep. The learning platform let me work through lessons when I had time, and the practice testing helped me figure out where that time would make the most difference. When I got stuck, Tejas and his team helped me get moving again. I really appreciated that Tejas kept checking in on how things were going throughout the course. I’m thankful I had that support, because I would have spent a lot more time feeling overwhelmed on my own.

We had already bought prep books and tried to help our son ourselves, but we weren’t getting very far. Tejas Test Prep gave him a more organized way to learn and practice, along with people who could help him understand his mistakes. The platforms made it easier for him to work independently, and the guidance from Tejas and his team helped him stick with it when he got frustrated. We were so thankful to see him begin taking ownership of his preparation. It also gave us the chance to be encouraging parents again instead of constantly asking whether he had studied.

There were things I needed help with that I didn’t really want to admit I had forgotten. Being able to review those lessons on the platform first made it much easier to ask questions afterward. Tejas and his team never made me feel bad about needing extra help, and they helped me use my practice tests to decide what to review next. I’m especially grateful that Tejas stayed involved and took my questions seriously. That made it easier to keep trying, even when progress felt slow.

Our daughter had a busy schedule, and we were worried that adding test prep would leave her feeling stretched even thinner. The flexibility of the learning platform helped, and the practice tests gave her something concrete to work from. What we appreciated most was having Tejas and his team guide her through the process so she didn’t have to figure everything out herself. Tejas remained involved from beginning to end, and she felt comfortable reaching out when she needed help. We’re very grateful for the care they put into supporting her as a person as well as a student.

I almost gave up on studying the sections that frustrated me because it felt like I kept making the same mistakes. Tejas and his team helped me break the work into smaller pieces, and I could go back through the lessons on the platform until things started to click. The practice tests became more useful once I understood what I was supposed to learn from them. I’m thankful they were patient with me but also kept encouraging me to do the work. Having Tejas there throughout made it easier to believe I could improve.

We initially signed up because we liked the idea of having a learning platform and a testing platform our daughter could use at home. We came away appreciating the people behind the program just as much. Tejas and his team helped her turn practice results into a manageable plan, and Tejas stayed closely involved as she worked through it. She felt supported, and we felt much less uncertain about how to help her. We’re thankful for the attention and encouragement she received during what had been a stressful part of high school.

Before Tejas Test Prep, I was putting in study time without really knowing what I was getting out of it. The lessons and testing platform helped me connect the questions I missed with the skills I needed to work on. Tejas and his team helped me stay focused when I felt like there was too much to improve at once. Looking back, I’m most thankful that they helped me learn how to work through something difficult without immediately getting discouraged. I finished feeling proud of the effort I had put in, and their support was a big part of that.

Methodology

How we measure — and report — outcomes.

Every score we publish is verified. Every quote is attributed with consent. We do not inflate, cherry-pick, or showcase outliers as the norm.

Score growth, not just final scores

The most honest metric is what changes during a cohort. We report baseline-to-final score growth, on official tests, with full transparency about cohort length and starting point.

Verified and attributed

Our standing rule: a testimonial is published only when a real student or parent wrote it and agreed to its publication, and a score appears in one only when we have seen the official report it came from. We do not write quotes and put them in someone else’s mouth; anything we draft ourselves is labelled a sample.

Median, not maximum

Outlier scores are real — but they don't reflect what most students should expect. As cohorts mature, we will publish median outcomes alongside top results to keep expectations honest.

Continuously updated

This page is not static. As students complete cohorts, sit official exams, and earn admissions outcomes, this page is updated — quarterly at minimum.
